This is a run-of-river hydropower project located in Badakshan Province of Afghanistan. The power canal already exists while weir, forebay, powerhouse and tailrace will have to be constructed. The feasibility study was prepared by Intgeration and Environment, Gmbh, Germany under grant arrangement from German Government. The project envisages a diversion 0.3 m3/s of water into power canal already exists. The net of 57.3 m will be generated through 491 m long head race. One Francis turbine with 127 KW capacity will be installed. A steel penstock having 0.5 m diameter and 105 m length join the forebay and powerhouse. The project is proposed to be operated in Isolated mod.
