The hydropower site was identified during the identification of hydel potential in Northern areas of KPK by SHYDO/GTZ.
Technical Details of the scheme are:
P = 340MW, Q = 410 m3/sec, H = 125m, Ea = 1553Wh
The scheme is located at Chitral River about 35 km downstream of Chitral Town. The project layout is proposed on the right bank of Chitral River with the powerhouse site about 8km downstream of Drosh town near Swir Lasht village.
